2025–2026 Year in Review
Empowering Voters
During the 2025–2026 year, we hosted more than 10 voter engagement events, connecting with over 6,000 voters through nonpartisan education and outreach. We also organized four candidate forums, welcoming more than 560 attendees and partnering with over 14 community organizations to help voters hear directly from candidates and make informed decisions at the ballot box.
Advocating for Democracy
League members represented Miami-Dade throughout the year by advocating for policies that protect and strengthen our democracy. We joined the League of Women Voters of Florida alongside local chapters from across the state to meet with legislators and advocate for our legislative priorities in Tallahassee. We also met with the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections alongside All Voting Is Local to discuss voter access and election administration. Throughout the year, our members also participated in four nationwide No Kings demonstrations in support of democratic institutions and civic engagement.
Bringing Our Community Together
Building an informed and engaged community remained central to our mission. During the year, we hosted more than seven League events that brought together members, volunteers, and supporters, welcoming more than 400 registrants through networking opportunities and community gatherings.
Expanding Our Reach
Our work continued to receive recognition throughout the community. The League was featured by WLRN as a trusted resource on local elections and voter issues, helping expand awareness of our mission and connect even more residents with reliable, nonpartisan election information.
Investing in Our Mission
Our supporters continued to demonstrate their commitment to democracy through generous philanthropy. During Give Miami Day 2025, 125 donors contributed $15,000 to support voter education, advocacy, and civic engagement across Miami-Dade County. Every contribution helps us continue providing trusted, nonpartisan resources to voters throughout our community.
